Pocket Full of Dirt
"Pocket Full of Dirt" was David's first album released in 2009. David often referred to his freshman record as "a love letter to the world." With songs like "It'll be Alright" and "Beautiful World" there is no doubt why. David really finds a way to capture the emotions of young relationships...possibly because he recently married "his best friend and biggest supporter."
But the album doesn't just rely on love songs to connect with his fans, David also writes amazing songs about life and where he comes from. Songs like "East Texas Lullabye" and the title track "Pocket Full of Dirt" really reflect what it's like to be raised in a rural east texas town where God and Family are priorities.
Following this album was his first album with his other project Poor J. Brown, a six piece band that spans all genres of music styles. "Hill Country Soul" is another album where David really lets his voice fly, showing a diversity not often exhibited in the Texas music scene.
David has also started another new project called David Fenley and The Good Deal. This 3-piece band is set to have their new album out in December of 2011.
